SKCS Yearbook 1953•20 South Kortright Central School Almedian

CLASS WILL OF '53 SENIORS

I, Lawrence Cairns, bequeath to Sonny Barnhart, my ability to hand in social studies papers a day late. (A neat trick, if you can get away with it, Sonny!)

I, Marilyn Doig, bequeath to Nancy Nesbitt, my place in band. (Your horn is almost as big as you are, Nancy, but you seem to handle it O.K.)

I, Seth Chichester, bequeath to Bernie Smith, my ability to always get my English done on time. (????????????)

I, Esther Dunham, bequeath to Eleanor Collins, my silly manner and cute smile. (This is strictly a loan, Eleanor, Esther may want them back.)

I. Alyce Oblinksi, bequeath to Joe Dusavage, the pictures I have of Marilyn Monroe. I'm sure you could make use of them. (Watch it, Joe, Bev may be looking!)

I, Marion DeMoise, bequeath to John Appleman, the joy and happiness of taking biology from Mr. Heath next year. (Good luck to you, Johnnie.)

I, Karin Sandin, bequeath to Beverly Brown, my formula for "beautiful blond hair". (Better take her up on it, Bev, from the way Joe looks at Marilyn Monroe!)

I, Emmett Martin, bequeath to Francis McMullen, my reputation as a "speed demon". (You have some reputation to live up to, Francis!)

I, Joan Oblinsky, bequeath to Betty Rosecrans, my "beloved" locker. (Don't take it, Bets, it won't open when you're in a hurry!)

I, Grace Guttridge, bequeath to Bonnie Brown, my "blush". (We all know you have one, Bonnie, but Grace's is redder!)

I, Lewis Briggs, bequeath to Allan Frazier, my "baby blue eyes, and blond hair". (Don't cry because your hair isn't blond, Allan, maybe someday ------)

I, Helen Davis, bequeath to Betty Ann Beken, my seat on Bus 2. (It's the softest one on the bus, Betty Ann, and it has plenty of room for two!)

I, Doreen Yanson, bequeath to Mary Ann Schmitt, my sports' ability. (Doreen has a good record, but we know you'll measure up. Mary Ann.)

I, Robert Bligh, bequeath to Bernard Cleveland, my PHysics workbook, because it's as good as new. (The answers are in it Bernie; they may be wrong, but they're there!)

I, Frieda Sander, bequeath to Shirley Skog, the trouble with the boys and little kids, and the fun of trying to keep the new bus clean. (It's a job, Shirley, better learn Frieda's technique!)

I, Helen Martin, bequeath to Helen Odell, my job in the cafeteria. (It'll be easier next year, Helen; you'll have the new electric dish-washer.)

I, Mary Jane Askew, bequeath to Kent Many, my high clear soprano voice. (Think you can use it, Kent?)

I, Patricia Messing, bequeath to Inez Moore, my French accent, - for better or for worse. (Il peut etre utile, or as we say, it may come in handy.)

I, Mary Scofield, bequeath to Mary Skidmore, my ability to find excuses for being late to classes. (Learn all her tricks, Mary, but we hope you're never late.)

I, Gertrude Thompson, bequeath to Rose Bellino, my shyness and quiet manner. (Rosie, quiet????????????????)

We, the '53 Seniors, leave to the unsuspecting juniors, our books, hooks and bait, "ship 24" and all the old wrecks of the faculty.

We do so declare this will and testament illegal, invalid, and untrue.
