Class Poem
"ALWAYS HIGHER"
Lawrence A. Gilmour
"Always Higher" is our motto,
We think of it with respect.
We will always keep on climbing,
And to stop we do object.
There is no one that is perfect,
And no one's always right;
We'll never reach the perfect goal,
But for that we will fight.
The Red Rose is our flower,
It is pretty, pure and proud.
It always keeps on climbing,
Trying to reach the snow white cloud.
This flower was the favorite
Of a dear one of our class.
We never will forget her
Through all the years that pass.
Blue and white are our class colors,
Loyal and pure are they,
And with these both together,
We'll keep on climbing night and day.
Our class of forty-five
Has had heartaches with its fun,
There are battles we have lost,
And battles we have won.
We've thrown a few erasers,
We've been to visit "Prof."
But we were really only trying
To make the teachers scoff.
If we work together,
And are always loyal and pure,
There is nothing that can stop us,
Of this we can be sure.
