Following Coach Anderson's instructions, the South Kortright basketball team ended with a fine 12-3 record for the 1959-60 season. The season held many highlight games, played before capacity crowds.
The two big victories were over South Kortright's rival, Stamford. Playing on their home court, S.K. held a small margin, winning the first contest by five points at 54-59. In the second game, the team won a 63-52 victory clinching the class sectional position for S.K.
Two other highlight games were against strong Downsville. A total of five points made the games very close with Downsville winning both games. By losing these games South Kortright handed the league championship to Downsville.
