In September the band totalled 18 members and increased to 26 by the end of the year. The first appearance of the band was at the Senior Play on November 5, 1948. Several Members participated in the Mass Band at Delhi on November 20, 1948.
The band, wearing their snappy blue and white uniforms, performed at all the home basketball games. They marched to peppy music, forming letters while the baton twirlers went into action.
On May 6th the Eight Annual Concert was held under the direction of Mr. Leonard.
On May 21st several soloists participated in the annual New York State Music Contest at Hartwick College, Oneonta.

Baton Twrilers

The two twirlers, Evelyn Dibble and Lenise Alton, gave fine performances at all our home basketball games this year. They brightened up the atmosphere of the between-the-halves show at all the games with their excellent twirling routines.
