Senior Play Cast
The Senior play, "The Mad Hatters," was presented to a capacity audience on Nov. 7, 1947, and was received with great enthusiasm. The play was a comedy in three acts, based upon a family who had always had their money given to them. When suddenly the family was faced with the fact that one of them must make good in the world or their income would cease, complications set in. The story of how they each tried to make their hobbies pay, proved to make a hilarious play. The cast of characters was as follows:
Joe Hatter (Pop), nuts about fishing ... Walter Davis
Margaret Hatter (Mom), nuts about dramatics ... Annette Reynolds
Gigi Hatter, their daughter, nuts about athletics ... Lulu Beckett
Bunny Hatter, their son, nuts about photography ... Fred Knise
Grandma Hatter, Joe's mother, nuts about aviation ... Erma VanNooy
Angelica, their housekeeper, just plain nuts ... Ethelyn Canfield
Diana Hatter, their younger daughter, nuts about Henry ... Helen King
Henry Harrison, her fiance ... Frank Martin
Nancy Hayward, a recruit of Mom's ... Blanche Wood
Mugzie Mullen, Gigi's athletic instructor ... Kenneth MacLaury
Clara Sheldon, a talent scout ... Mary Dales
