Orchestra
The orchestra, with Miss Flynn wielding the baton, has progressed very fast in this high school year. One of the first steps taken was to procure new music. All the high school knew by the weird noises issuing from the asembly hall, when the music arrived. Undaunted by the protests of those within hearing, Harold and Ralph strove to keep along with the violins, which were guided by George and Fred. These four together kept Frank and his saxophone up with them, leaving Paul at the piano and Kenneth drumming his drums to come along as he could, while Miss Flynn directed with amazement and stopped them when they got too far apart.
At their first appearance in assembly with the new music, doubts and fears were dispelled like magic. It became more and more apparent that Miss Flynn held the threads and she knew how to pull them. The result has been a fine orchestra, to which everyone enjoys listening.
The orchestra has played at numerous public entertainments.
